I wanted to take a moment out and give a shout to an extremely talented buddy of mine Lee John Phillips who’s based in Narbeth in the county of Pembrokeshire on the west coast of Wales
Lee is a freelance illustrator and when he’s not fulfilling client work, he’s drawing every last item in his late grandfather’s tool shed
He’s been diligently doing this for over 6 years and has drawn almost 8,000 items to date. His drawings are by far some of the best I’ve ever seen!
Not to mention he’s also an extremely talented spoon carver too
Below is some of his artwork as well as spoonage, if you’re not familiar with him already then I highly suggest you give him a follow on Instagram and scroll through his incredible feed

All being well I’ll be visiting Lee in his hometown later in the year to film some videos for you lovely folk 🌿

These are beautiful, and functional. I can see the use of many just by looking—stirrers, ladles…..
Indeed he is a very talented artist and maker ~Peace~
Hey Zed,
Hello from Germany
After traveling through Scandinavia in 2018 for 4 months .I fall in love with the Sami culture. Last year I even toured it with my 8 month old daughter.
I traveled in the off-season where buying a kuksa wasn’t easy. I decided to make them myself.
I already own a Heimo Rosseli carving knife and a Mora spoon knife 164
i watch all the youtube videos and i ordered the book by paul adamson.
what tools can you recommend me, and where can i Buy them?
I really only want to do kuksa.
Thank you
Manuel
Hi Manuel my apologies for the delay in responding, your trip sounded amazing and indeed I am too fascinated by the Sami culture. Regarding tools, Paul has listed all of the tools you need on this page which accompanies the videos we filmed – https://pauladamsoncraft.bigcartel.com/kuksa-book-and-carving-info
